Australian mining company Lucapa Diamond Company unearths 404.2ct D colour diamond measuring 80mm across.
Predicted to fetch in the region of $20m the ‘Spectacular’ diamond is the largest ever recovered from Angola, or by an Australian mining company.
Miles Kenedy, of Lucapa Diamond Company said “It’s the biggest diamond ever recorded from the country of Angola and it’s the biggest diamond ever recovered by an Australian diamond miner.”
